My Story

Massage is a way of life.

Bodywork offers me a way to be in the world that erases many of the constrictive barriers to full expression of being that I experienced growing up. My introduction to growth through healing arose as the outcome of early relationships with sexual abuse survivors, a significant break down, and a pilgrimage across the country with a remarkable community of highly embodied people.

I think many of us have unwittingly constructed a life that demands we drag our bodies behind us, barely acknowledged, as our heads lead us on never-ending quests for something better; for something to fill us up. Many of us experience from birth a deprivation and isolation from our feeling selves, from a tender sense of care and regard for our bodies and our essential selves, that results in suffering.

I have been extremely fortunate to have discovered mentors and teachers that guided me, shared their gifts to help me transform my suffering into joy and compassion. Sharing skillful, caring touch and presence is how I choose to repay those gifts to my world.

My Philosophy

Touch is magic. It is a quality of presence that we transmit through our skin. It is, in significant part, how we remember for ourselves and remind each other that all is well and that we may rest. The practical benefits are numerous, precious, and well documented. Part of my work is understanding the anatomical roadmap, cultivating an informed concept of movement and physiology. A critical part, too, is simply being with. Tension arises through several means, but forgetting ourselves ("I didn't even know I was tight there!") is high on the list. My role is often to lovingly and skillfully guide awareness to places in our bodies and hearts we've forgotten, neglected, or disavowed. We each are inborn with remarkable body wisdom and a natural capacity to heal, needing only the occasional guide, and a hand at our back. I am here for you.

“Jeremy brings an intentionality and care to each massage that is so rare to find. I have learned in my time working with him that massage is much more than just relaxation and pain relief; its having a much needed conversation with your body and mind to recognize what is at the root of the problem and Jeremy's skill in guiding you into that conversation is seriously a gift.” Molly P.
Jeremy is truly a master at meeting the body where it is and gently nudging it to unwind and release where it's ready to let go. My whole being felt seen, appreciated and cared for. I highly recommend him even to those usually like a really deep massage (like me). Onella E.
“I've had probably a half dozen massages by Jeremy so far and he is truly remarkable! And I surprisingly don't feel groggy afterward, as I have with other therapists. Get in and get some healing. Your body will thank you!” Tessa P.
